About Kim van der Feltz
I've been a certified executive coach for ten years, working with leaders and founders who want more clarity - in how they lead, and in the choices they're making. I help you slow down, see what's really going on, and move forward with more confidence and direction, both at work and beyond it.
I hold a master's in law and bring over 20 years of corporate experience, including 10 years at McKinsey & Company in people leadership roles. Since 2017, I've been guiding leaders and founders to build careers and lives that actually reflect what they want.
Something I'm pondering over
Over the past ten years, I've sat across from so many talented, driven, ambitious leaders - climbing the ladder, doing genuinely impressive things.
And somewhere along the way, many of them stop checking in with themselves. Until one day they wonder: am I still living the life I want?
Little by little, something gets traded away - to meet expectations that were never spoken out loud.
The philosopher Alan Watts had this idea that life is like dancing - you don't dance to reach the end of the song, dancing is the whole point. Somewhere along the way, a lot of us started dancing toward a destination instead of just dancing.
People can sense when a leader has stopped dancing. And they're drawn to the ones who haven't - leaders with a color, a quirk, all their own. Not because they have it all figured out, but because they don't and are ok with figuring it out as they go along.
It was never about the next promotion. It's about being present, the people you love, work you actually care about.
If this sounds familiar - you're not alone.

Who I work with
Leaders
For all professionals - from lawyers to consultants to investors - my coaching helps you step back, gain perspective, and make decisions with clarity. I focus on awareness, reflection, and practical strategies so you can lead confidently, navigate complexity, and grow without losing yourself in the process.
Founders
As a founder myself, I know the entrepreneurial spirit drives both opportunity and pressure. My coaching helps you grow your business, build strong teams, and collaborate effectively with co-founders, while staying aligned with your vision and values. We focus on practical strategies, reflection, and resilience so you can scale with confidence.
Teams
I help teams unlock their full potential by building trust, fostering inclusion, and turning collaboration and communication into collective strength. Together, we create a space where every voice is heard, ideas flow freely, and the team can make better decisions and achieve goals with confidence.
Female Leadership Circles
It's about empowering women to step into their leadership, build confidence, and create strong alliances - something women are not always naturally inclined to do. In these safe, supportive spaces, participants reflect, share experiences, and strengthen their presence and influence in environments where they may be in the minority.
Words of Wisdom
“In times of constant change, seeing yourself clearly is what keeps you grounded - and helps you focus on what truly lies within your control.”

Frequently Asked Questions
How likely is it that coaching will lead to a solution to my problem?
Coaching is not about quick fixes or ready-made solutions. I don’t have a magic wand or a bucket of answers. What I do offer is a structured, reflective space in which you gain clarity, challenge assumptions, and explore what is really going on. From there, meaningful and often unexpected solutions emerge, because they are yours, not mine.
How long does a coaching program typically last?
Typically, I meet with coachees between five and seven times over a period of six to twelve months. This pace allows enough space for reflection, experimentation, and integration between sessions, so insights can turn into lasting change rather than quick fixes.
What can I expect during a coaching session?
A coaching session is a safe, confidential space that usually lasts 1–1.5 hours. We start by defining a clear coaching question to guide the conversation. Both coach and coachee share responsibility: I ask the questions, and you bring your honest answers. Together, we explore behaviours, patterns, and limiting beliefs, helping you become aware of what may be holding you back and discover new ways to act.
What kind of methods are used in the sessions?
I don't work from one fixed method - I use whatever fits you and the moment. That might mean looking at the bigger picture around you: your team, your role, the dynamics you're part of. It might mean visualization, so you experience something instead of just thinking it through. Or it might be more intuitive - picking up on what's happening in the room, or in you, and working with that. The common thread: I stay close to what's actually going on, not a fixed program.
What is the difference between coaching and psychology?
Coaching is forward-looking. We focus on where you want to go and what may be standing in your way right now. Together, we explore behaviours, patterns, and limiting beliefs so that, once you are aware of them, you can consciously choose to do things differently. While some context about who you are and where you come from is helpful, coaching is not about analysing the past - it’s about using insight to move forward.
